Why "where to look on the screen" is the wrong question

(this post refers to stuff mentioned in the previous post)

Another interesting case is that I wrote some stuff down during that day, in my analysis of why things went bad I didnt realise Tetris had affected me so I was under the assumption my visual system was working optimal that day, and that there was something that I was doing consciously (or should I say not doing) that was the culprit.

What I wrote down was :
1) Am I looking too far up the screen ?
2) maybe stage 5, put me into a habit of looking very far up the screen (because stage 5 forces you to make sweeps very high up or else you will be forced to bomb it and have no chance to read/dodge anything if you stay too low)

With my best knowledge at the time (no bad condition, and or visual system working optimally) this was the most logical conclusion.

However l,yesterday, I had not given a single thought to where I looked on the screen and I could basically view and see all, all the time, regardless where i looked ! Meaning, trying to consciously look somewhere is just a way to try to compensate for correct fundamentals (visual system, ocular muscles and maybe more). And also that alot of the stuff that is on system11 regarding this topic should be deleted right away (that too is a maze).

That trying to consciously look somewhere on the screen is just a way to compensate for correct fundamentals, is something that I'm just realising right now, as we speak/write (whatever 😇 ). During playing PCB for the first time ( a few months ago) I used alot of like 'hacks' in terms of my focus/attention on the screen to survive some patterns (and it still didn't went well enough).

Now that I think of it, the main reason that lonely PCB run was so fun (that I did a week or 2 ago) was because it felt very unprepared and natural ( I recall now that I wasn't occupied by where I looked on the screen at all). This is among the stuff I actually meant/felt (but didn't realize myself lol) when I talked about that run and that it was fun and I did it without any preparation, a few months ago doing those runs of PCB weren't actually that much fun, it felt hella stressful.

And this time with optimized  optometry optimized visual system and stacking of supercompensation I didn't had to worry about looking anywhere and I played alot better, without having played any Touhou at all. (I ofcourse did play DDP, but pattern and precision wise Touhou is more demanding)

Thank you for reading this post, bye !!
